A call to revitalize the power of the Global March against child labor and fight for quality education for the world's children.
This year, the Global March Against Child Labor celebrates 20 years of commitment and struggle for the protection of the rights of the world's children, especially those in situations of child labor, exploitation and slavery. To commemorate it, its founder, the Nobel Peace Prize, Kailash Satyarthi sent a message summarizing the history and impact of the Global March and invited to revitalize it, joining and marching until every boy and girl smiles and receives a quality education.

The Global March, promoted by the victims themselves, as well as networks of unions, teachers and civil society organizations, crossed 103 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, North America and Europe and gathered around 15 million supporters, who as one A single voice and strength made visible and put the reality of child labor on the world agenda.
This initiative promoted the creation of ILO Convention 182 on the worst forms of child labor , the mandate most ratified by ILO member countries and which is one of the main catalytic bases for national and international political action.
Taking into account the multi-causal nature of child labor , advancing its prevention and reduction requires addressing different key objectives for human development, such as access to quality education (SDG 4), gender equality (SDG 5), poverty reduction (SDG 1), among others.
Under this urgency, the Global March continues to work by generating knowledge on the subject, promoting and carrying out campaigns to highlight the importance of separating children from child labor and respecting their rights.
