It should be noted that, during the workshop, Chile will present a preview of the experimental application of the Child Labor Vulnerability Index, a tool created by the ILO and ECLAC within the framework of the Regional Initiative, with the objective of a) identifying the territories most vulnerable to child labor and b) define multisectoral actions to interrupt the trajectory of child labor, advance in the effective implementation of public policies on the matter and accompany Chile in its commitment to declare itself a country free of child labor in 2025.
At the end of the workshop, the official adoption of the 2019-2021 Roadmap is expected by the Undersecretary of Labor, Fernando Arab, and the Undersecretary of the Interior, Rodrigo Ubilla.
